Webster: Inexperience was the difference

Hull KR coach James Webster says his side lacked the experience to fight for a positive result last night.

The Robins lost 20-24 against Leeds Rhinos at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

“The boys dug deep, we were under the pump for long periods and we had a very, very inexperienced team out tonight,” Webster told Sky Sports.

“They showed they’re a team who is not going to give up until their last dying day.

Despite the defeat, Webster remained optimistic about his side’s chances in the upcoming Qualifiers.

“We have been a battered and bruised team for a long time but we have always had a go,” he said.

“We can still improve a lot in certain areas and we really struggle closing games out and we need to work on that. Energy got us towards the end.”
