WCC seats in high demand

Rugby League fans are being urged to move fast to guarantee a seat for the Heinz Big Soup World Club Challenge between Leeds Rhinos and Manly Sea Eagles at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Friday, February 17 (8.00pm).

Following massive demand, Leeds Rhinos have today released an additional allocation of 200 seated tickets for the showpiece event – the last seating  tickets for an event which will see the winners crowned the best Rugby League club in the world. Once the remaining 200 seats have been sold, fans will still be able to purchase standing tickets.

“The Heinz Big Soup World Club Challenge is producing significant levels of interest in the Rhinos both from our own supporters base and Rugby League fans everywhere,” said Leeds Rhinos’ Head of Marketing, Abigail Furniss.

“We want a full house at Headingley Carnegie for the game as the team look to win a third world title and avenge our defeat to Manly back in 2009.

“Tickets are still available for the game however we are urging all supporters to get theirs as soon as possible to avoid disappointment nearer the time.”

The Rhinos have also reported an unprecedented demand for hospitality at Headingley Carnegie for the game and have already sold six of their hospitality suites and all the corporate boxes available for the contest.

“A world title clash between two of the biggest clubs in the world is a mouth watering prospect,” said Rhinos’ Commercial Director Rob Oates. “We are used to entertaining large numbers of guests on a match night here at Headingley Carnegie but the interest for this game has been extremely high with a number of enquiries from first time customers who are keen get their hands on the hottest ticket in town.

“We still have availability in the Long Room with packages, including seat tickets, available from £95 plus VAT and we are looking forward to a record number of guests on the night.”
