Watson: We need to keep our focus

Salford head into Friday’s game against Hull in confident mood, having won five of their last six Super League games.

The Red Devils lost at home to Wakefield last Sunday, but are still riding high in second position in the standings.

Head Coach Ian Watson admitted Hull will provide another stiff test for his side this evening.

“They are a good club, well run, and particularly well organised in what they do,” he said.

“In many respects they are similar to Castleford, in the way they have progressed over the past couple of seasons.

“We, ourselves, are going through a similar process, at the moment, and hoping we can continue along that road.

“We’ve been good defensively all season and our points ratio is a massive improvement on last year’s. We just need to keep our focus.”

Salford have already shown their capabilities against Hull this season, as they recorded a resounding 54-18 victory when the two sides met at the KCOM Stadium in early April.
