Waterworth set for Wigan bow

Hooker Luke Waterworth is set to make his Super League debut for Wigan against Hull KR tonight.

Waterworth has been named in Wigan’s 19-man squad, replacing Ben Flower who has a leg injury.

The 19-year-old hooker is a product of the Warrior’s academy and has represented England at youth level.

“Luke will play some part,” Wigan coach Shaun Wane told Wigan Today.

“He’s still got a lot to learn, as you’d expect for a kid his age, but he’s a good player who has earned a chance and I’m looking forward to seeing him play.”
