Barrow’s Jarrod Sammut may have just produced the greatest individual try celebration ever.

The former Super League half-back has just restored his side’s lead in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup against Workington.

Sammut, 35, produced a great four-pointer and an even better celebration live on the BBC.

His try gave his side a 22-18 lead at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium, with 15 minutes remaining.

Barrow went on to secure their spot in the sixth round of the prestigious Challenge Cup. They defeated their opponents 32-18, with Tee Ritson and Sammut crossing for another before the full-time hooter.

Two Challenge Cup fixtures remain on Sunday afternoon. Whitehaven host York, while Featherstone travel to Batley, live on The Sportsman.

Bradford host Leigh live on Premier Sports on Monday evening.

Sixth round draw

The Challenge Cup sixth round draw will be held on Monday, March 14 and broadcast live from Elland Road in front of the BBC cameras.

BBC Look North and BBC Sport Online will show the sixth round draw live from 6:45pm.

Tanya Arnold will host the draw, with the balls being drawn out by Great Britain legend Lee Brooks and the Royal Navy’s Ben Taylor, commonly known to rugby league fans as ‘Yorkshire Prose’ for his poetry on social media.

Super League clubs will enter the competition at this stage.

The weekend of March 25-27 will see the sixth round fixtures played.

The quarters will take place on April 9-10. Leeds’ Elland Road will host the semi-finals as part of a triple-header alongside the women’s Challenge Cup final on Saturday, May 7.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will hold the Challenge Cup final on Saturday, May 28.
