Super League has launched its promo video ahead of the 2023 season, which starts on Thursday February 16.

A special launch event was held in Manchester on Thursday, featuring the men’s, women’s and wheelchair Super League trophies.

Sky Sports’ Brian Carney presented the event, welcoming a host of guests to the stage including from sponsors Betfred, and players and coaches from across the league.

Reigning Man of Steel Brodie Croft was the centre of attention days after signing a historic seven-year deal to extend his stay at Salford until 2030.

A sell-out crowd is expected on Saturday February 18 when Hull KR host Wigan in Channel 4’s first game of the new season.

The video takes a theme of “nothing like league” highlighting how there’s nothing quite like rugby league and the various Super League competitions are.

It includes the usual moody shots and studio imagery, but there’s plenty of action from last season included too, something that hasn’t always been the case in previous years.

The promo has been warmly received by those that have seen it so far.
