Harry Sunderland Trophy winner Danny McGuire admits his first day at new club Hull KR was nerve-wracking one.

McGuire, 35, made the first move of his career after 17 illustrious years at Leeds where he scooped eight Super League titles, three World Club Challenge titles and two Challenge Cups.

He said: “It was pretty nerve-wracking to be honest! It’s the first time I’ve experienced anything like that, finding a peg to put my coat and bag on, I didn’t want to steal anybody’s spot.

“But all the lads have been really welcoming and I’ve enjoyed my time here so far.”
