Wigan have announced an additional partner for 2010 with the Worthington’s brand becoming the club’s Official Beer Partner.
The deal will see the Worthington’s brand featured above the player’s names on the reverse of the playing kits for both the home and away shirts. The beer, which is one of the Molson Coors range, is currently served in all bars and concourse areas at the DW Stadium.
Worthington’s will host a number of events and promotions as the season progresses throughout the North West in venues featuring their products along with Wigan Warriors players.
Speaking about the Partnership, Chief Executive Mick Hogan said: “We are delighted to welcome Worthington’s on board as a new partner for 2010. The Molson Coors Group have supported the Club for the past couple of seasons by sponsoring the Annual Awards Evening, various games and a player in 2009. The fact they have now extended their involvement in Wigan Warriors is very encouraging for the Club. We look forward to working with them over the coming season”.
Worthington’s Brand Manager, Ross Singyard said: “Worthington’s has a successful track record of working with rugby clubs and local communities. Our partnership with Wigan Warriors is an important part of our plan to extend this activity. We’re looking forward to working together.”
