Both Warrington and Wigan have named their squads ahead of Stefan Ratchford’s testimonial match on Saturday.

The match, which will take place at the Haliwell Jones Stadium, will be Daryl Powell’s first match since taking charge at The Wire.

Meanwhile, Wigan boss Matt Peet will take charge of his second match with the club, after overseeing their win over Championship side Newcastle.

Pre-season: Pre-season round up: Alex Walmsley testimonial, Leeds win derby over Bradford and Featherstone defeat Wakefield

Ratchford is celebrating 10 years at Warrington, after signing from Salford ahead of the 2012 season.

Since then, Ratchford has helped Warrington to two Challenge Cup titles (2012 and 2019) and the League Leaders Shield in 2016.

After this match, Warrington have one more pre-season friendly, as they host Salford in a testimonial match for Lee Mossop, while Wigan will have no further matches before the start of the Super League season.

Warrington 20-man squad

Daryl Powell has named a strong side for his first match in charge of Warrington. Peter Mata’utia, Oliver Holmes and Joe Bullock are all set to make their debuts for the club. Meanwhile, Billy Magoulias, James Harrison and Greg Minikin will have to wait. Magoulias picked up an ankle injury in pre-season, while Harrison and Minikin continue their recoveries from knee injuries picked up during the 2021 season. Toby King and Jack Hughes are also unavailable.
