Warrington Wolves have signed Bradford Bulls second rower Paul Johnson, 27 for next season on a 3 year deal.

Paul joined the Bulls from the Wigan Warriors in 2004 after being released due to cost cutting measures to get under the salary cap. Paul was voted 'Back of the Series' against Australia in 2001 and was an integral member of the Wigan squad since his debut in 1996, having signed from Hindley ARL in November 1995, at the age of 16. He went on to make 131 appearances in the cherry and white, scoring 56 tries for the club and winning five Great Britain caps. He missed a large part of his first season with Bradford with shoulder and thumb injuries but was in sensational form on his return and gained selection for the Tri Nations Tournament, scoring a Hat Trick against the Kiwis.

Paul commented on joining the Wolves in 2007,

"I am really looking forward to it, I've enjoyed my time at Bradford, but it is time to move on and I am looking forward to coming here. Warrington's a team that's on the up. The Club wants to win trophies, like I do. It would be great to come to Warrington and get in to a Grand Final.

"My personal goals for next season are to do my best; I pride myself on giving 100% every week. My team goals are that I want to win trophies; I don't want to be sat bottom of the table or sat outside the 6. At the end of the year you want to be in a play-off game, that's what it is all about playing to win."
