Warrington have recalled forward Ellis Robson from his loan at Widnes, and he is set to join another club who are in a full-time environment.

The 22-year-old back-rower or loose forward first joined the Vikings on a two-week loan and it was only announced earlier this month that his loan had been extended for the rest of the season.

In a statement released by Widnes, they said Robson “will subsequently join another club who operate a full-time training environment”.

A Widnes statement read: “We are disappointed that Ellis will no longer be with us after a number of impressive performances this season, and would like to thank him for his efforts while at the club.”

Widnes have confirmed that forwards Owen Farnworth, Paul Clough and Connor Dwyer are all back in contention to make their return in Sunday’s Championship clash with Whitehaven.
