Warrington name squad for festive friendly
Three new signings have been named in the Warrington squad for their Boxing Day friendly with local rivals Widnes.
Matty Russell, Anthony England and Kevin Penny will join first-team regulars Ryan Atkins, Chris Bridge, Joel Monaghan and Trent Waterhouse for the clash with the Vikings.
Also in the squad is half-back Gareth O’Brien, who will be looking to impress in the first Wolves game since Lee Briers‘ retirement.
Players named who have yet to appear in the first team are prop Tom Walker (18), second rower Joe Philbin (19) and backs James Saltonstall (20), Gene Ormsby (21) and Ryan Shaw (also 21).
