Warrington made to wait for Murdoch-Masila

Warrington are still waiting for new signing Ben Murdoch-Masila to arrive back in the UK.

Murdoch-Masila, 26, joined the Wolves from Salford in the off-season, but delays with his visa paperwork means he is yet to join up with his new club for pre-season.

He was absent from the Wolves media day at Peckforton Castle on Monday where his new team-mates took part in multiple activities, including a Land Rover driving experience and abseiling, before speaking with the media.

Coach Steve Price said: “It’s one of those things that I can’t control. That’s the playing group we’ve got at the moment, and hopefully Ben is over here in the next eight to 10 days.”

It is understood that the hold-up is no fault of the club.

The owner of Peckforton Castle, former Salford and St Helens player Chris Naylor, stood in for Murdoch-Masila in the Warrington team photo.
