Warrington made move for QLT

Warrington tried to sign Sheffield full-back Quentin Laulu-Togagae for next season, according to reports in the local press.

The Samoan, 28, has scored 89 tries in 90 games since joining the Eagles three years ago, and has recently penned a two-year extension to stay at the club.

However, the Sheffield Star reported that the Wolves were believed to have made a move for him, only to pull out over visa complications.

Coach Mark Aston said: “QLT’s good enough for the Super League. Anybody who scores 30 plus tries in each of the last two years is a quality player.”

Laulu-Togagae will be hoping to help Sheffield to back-to-back Championship titles when they face Batley in the Grand Final on Sunday.
