Warrington loans Ormsby to Huddersfield

The Huddersfield Giants have taken Warrington Wolves winger Gene Ormsby on a one month loan.

The 23-year-old, who can play on the wing or at centre, made his debut for the Wire in 2014 and has made 37 appearances, scoring 24 tries for the club.

“With Jordan Tansey having returned to Wakefield the opportunity for another outside back to come into the squad was there and we are grateful for Warrington in allowing Gene the opportunity to get some game time in Super League,” Giants managing director Richard Thewlis said.

“As with the terms of Jordan’s loan, the player is not permitted to play against his parent club but Gene is available for games versus Hull FC, Wigan and Leeds and will join the Huddersfield squad tomorrow for training.”

Ormsbt will wear the number 35 shirt for Huddersfield.
