Warrington forward Matt Davis has vowed to come back stronger after being ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

The 25-year-old will undergo surgery next week on a torn bicep which will see him play no further part for the Wolves this season.

Davis tweeted: “Thanks for all the well wishes. The axe man will be back in no time.”

Davis has made 16 appearances in Super League for Warrington this season, featuring mainly at loose forward or in the back-row.

The Warwickshire-born forward came through the system at London Broncos, where he made 68 appearances before linking up with Warrington in 2019. He has played more than 40 games for the Wolves so far.
