Warrington remain undefeated in Super League XXI after a hard-fought 34-16 victory over Wakefield at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

It was the Kurt Gidley and Chris Sandow show as the two Aussie halves combinated brilliantly to set up and score several Wire tries.

Gidley bagged one try and kicked four goals, while Sandow finished with a double in an impressive display. But it could be costly with Gidley forced from the field on 61 minutes after suffering a knock.

Tom Lineham also came off with what looked like a head knock.

Ben Currie claimed two tries as the forward continued his great start to 2016.

Warrington went into half-time with a 24-6 lead but pushed ahead in the second half and Wakefield were unable to recover with the Wolves scrambling well in defence.

The Wildcats added a late try to Jonny Molloy but the Wire finished comfortable 18-point victors.
