Warrington choose to face Huddersfield

Warrington have chosen to face Huddersfield at the Super League ClubCall announcement.

The Wolves will host the league leaders at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday at 8pm, after choosing to face them instead of Leeds.

Last year’s champions will instead go to Wigan on Friday.

Huddersfield will go into the game lifted by the knowledge that the Super League title has been won in each of the last two years by the side that has been ClubCalled.

Two years ago Leeds were chosen by Warrington and came away from The Halliwell Jones Stadium 26-24 winners before going on to beat St Helens 32-16 in the Grand Final.

A year later, Wigan Chairman Ian Lenagan spoke at ClubCall of a ‘dream final’ between the Warriors and Warrington before choosing Leeds, who travelled to the DW Stadium and completed a 13-12 victory which they followed up with a 26-18 Old Trafford win against Warrington.

This year’s Super League Grand Final will again be staged at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Saturday October 5 (8.00).

Tickets cost from just £20. Family tickets giving entry to two adults and two children are also available for £70 and can be purchased by visiting www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk or calling 0844 856 1113.
