Warrington academy forward Tayler Brown has joined Championship side Swinton Lions for the 2020 season.

Brown, 20, played his amateur rugby at Newton Storm before joining Warrington at the age of 15 and progressing through their youth system.

“I’m honoured to have signed with Swinton Lions,” said Brown.

“It’s really exciting for me to be given the chance to play for the Lions.

“After a long break I’m ready to get back into things an rip into pre-season.”

Swinton head coach Stuart Littler added: “Tayler has been pretty consistent in his performances for Warrington Academy and this was highlighted late in the season when Tayler scored a few tries in the game against our partner club, Wigan’s formidable academy side.

“Tayler has a very good frame and has good leg drive post contact. I am excited about getting him into our system and assisting him to take the next steps needed to succeed.

“There are challenges ahead but I am sure with Tayler’s attitude he can succeed.”
