Ward’s season is over

Leeds forward Stevie Ward will not play again this season, due to nerve damage in his shoulder.

Ward, 19, has made only eight appearances in 2013, but he had hoped to make a comeback for the Rinos in the end of season play-offs.

The lock told Sky Sports that those hopes are now over though, due to further problems with the dislocation he suffered against Hull KR back in April.

He said, “I’ve had this recurring shoulder injury for about four months now.

“I was hoping to come back for the play-offs, but the specialist has looked at it, and it’s not going to happen.

“It’s a kick in the teeth, but you can’t really do much when it’s nerve damage.”
