Wane wants to show what Super League is all about

Wigan coach Shaun Wane says the World Club Challenge means a lot to Super League and his club.

Wigan face Cronulla on Sunday for the right to be called the best club side in the world.

“I want us to show what Super League is all about,” Wane told media today.

“It’s a big one for us. The Brisbane games were good but this means so much more to us.

“I want us to have more games in this competition and get more teams involved but still have this main game.

“There’s a lot at stake, it means a lot to us and to them. They’ve flown halfway round the world to win this game.”

Wane said he has studied the Sharks a lot.

“They’re a big and athletic team. They were worthy winners of the Grand Final,” he said.

“Their halves really like to play, I’m not sure what they’ll do at 9.”

“We’ll have to be a lot better this week and play for the full 80 minutes.”
