Wane waiting on Mossop

Wigan coach Shaun Wane has confirmed that Warriors prop Lee Mossop will have to wait a short while before the full extent of his shoulder injury is revealed.

Mossop left the action at half-time in the weekend friendly defeat to Leigh with the injury, and the swelling will need to subside before medics can examine the problem properly.

Mossop has suffered shoulder problems in the past.

“We’re hoping it’s not too bad, we’ll know more in a few days,” Wane told Wigan Today.

“It’s not the (type of injury) he’s had before, it was more of a stinger at the back of the shoulder, so hopefully he’ll be fine.”
