Wane unhappy with Wigan’s inconsistency

Wigan coach Shaun Wane wants his team to be much more consistent in their approach when they face Leeds at the DW Stadium on Thursday evening.

The Warriors were comprehensively outplayed by Warrington last week in a 17-6 defeat, and Wane knows that his players will need to much better when the Rhinos come calling.

“Leeds are the best team in the competition so training is a little bit more intense and the lads are ready for it,”Wane told Sky Sports News HQ.

“They have trained really well this week and they know it is going to be a really huge game for us.

“Recently we have been inconsistent, I am not happy with the way we are playing.

“They’ve done some good things in games and have also done some poor things at certain times so I just want to find that consistency in our performance.

“We turned up at the Magic Weekend (victory) against Leeds and I am hoping for the same sort of attitude this week.”
