Wigan coach Shaun Wane has highlighted the role Warrington’s supporters can play in their team’s success, by highlighting the intimidating atmosphere they create at the Halliwell Jones.

Wane felt that the Wolves fed on the atmosphere, and were able to impose themselves on the game in a way that his Warriors simply could not match on the night.

He also admitted that Warrington were the better team and deserved their win.

“They out-enthused us, they were the better team,” he told Sky Sports after the game.

“They were up for the win, absolutely, with backs against the wall.

“Being out-enthused is not for me.

“You need a strong referee when you come here, it’s intimidating, a great atmosphere, but they were allowed to do that.

“Which is smart, they outdid us for that. We’ve no complaints at all.”
