Wane delighted with precise Warriors
Wigan coach Shaun Wane has spoken out in praise of the attitude of his players to their preseason work so far.
The Warriors squad have displayed a hungry attitude and precise thinking so far, and Wane believes that it will stand them in good stead in 2016.
“The attitude has been superb, I’m really happy where we’re at,” the coach told his club’s official website.
“The lads seem hungry to me – they look frustrated that they’ve had nothing. That’s the way I feel, I feel no-nonsense, very precise on what we’re working on, we know exactly what to do.
“We’re having loads of team meetings, there’s a lot of video, everyone is having loads of work put into them.
“These last few weeks have been very intense, and for the players there’s a lot to take in, a lot of mental stuff to challenge the players – to make them lead on their own and coming up with decisions on their own, without being led by coaches.
“That’s the idea, so we don’t need to send a message on, they deal with it themselves and make decisions themselves.”
