Walsh wary of Roosters rout

St Helens halfback Luke Walsh says his team needs to improve dramatically or it will be thrashed by the Sydney Roosters in the World Club Series.

Saints were taken apart 44-10 last night by Salford.

Walsh says St Helens have to improve a lot next week or they will be heavily beaten by the Roosters.

“Our attitude was off … they’ll put 80 on us,” he told Fairfax Media.

“They’re a great side, the Roosters, and we have to be 10 times better than we were tonight. And I think we will be.

“Hopefully Robes is a chance. Having a look at Perc, he’s no chance. Robes will be touch and go.”

Mark Percival was forced from the field against Salford with a knee injury while James Roby missed the Red Devils game with a rib complaint.
