Wallace considering country swap

Peter Wallace admits he could elect to play for Australia and not Scotland at this year’s Four Nations.

Wallace played for Scotland at the 2013 World Cup, is eligible for them through his grandmother and has put his hand up to represent the Bravehearts again this year.

But the Panthers hooker has been mentioned as a Kangaroos back-up to Cameron Smith, and said the pull of his birth country is strong.

“Obviously Scotland‘s my heritage, but Australia is my country,” Wallace told AAP.

“If I got the opportunity to play for Australia, obviously I’d have to go in that direction.”
