Jonny Walker has signed a new one-year deal to stay at the North Wales Crusaders for the 2018 season.

Walker is the latest played to extend his stay at the Queensway Stadium.

He is one of the few original squad members left at the Crusaders, having played over 100 games for the Wrexham-based outfit.

The veteran forward has been an integral part of the squad since 2012 and has helped guide the club to success in the league and cup in recent years.

And Walker is pleased to remain at the League 1 outfit for another season.

He said: “I’m happy to have agreed a new deal to keep me at the club for next season.

“It’s a great club with great fans and also a fantastic bunch of lads.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here and my body is still feeling good so I can’t wait to get out there again next year.”

Crusaders boss Mike Grady is delighted to have the fan favourite in his pack for next season.

Grady said: “I’m pleased to have retained Jonny Walker for another year.

“He had a fantastic season in 2017 and I felt that he got better with every game.

“He is an experienced player and is a tough, no-nonsene forward.”
