Hull KR prop Adam Walker has been issued a formal caution for making dangerous contact with Sonny Bill Williams during Scotland‘s World Cup quarter-final defeat to New Zealand on Friday.

Williams was eventually forced off the field injured during the 40-4 win, although it isn’t likely to keep him out of the semi-final game against England.

He appeared to get his head caught in an awkward position before it popped from under Walker’s arm, following his first hit-up of the game, and it led to a small delay at Headingley.

France prop Mickael Simon was also handed a formal caution for making dangerous contact with England‘s Michael McIlorum during their quarter-final at Wigan on Saturday.
