Wakefield to investigate Moore matter

Wakefield says it will investigate the police incident involving its player Scott Moore.

Love Rugby League exclusively revealed yesterday Moore had been allegedly involved in an incident on Friday where a police officer was assaulted.

Wakefield said in a statement: The Club have been made aware over the weekend, of an incident that occurred on early Friday morning involving our player Scott Moore.

“Having spoken to Scott briefly over the weekend, the Club have opened an investigation into the matter, and await further reports from the police.

“There will be no further comment at this time.”

Wakefield have also announced that Richard Owen has left the club by mutual consent.

Owen played 33 games in the Red White and Blue, scoring 11 tries.
