Wakefield sign Rinaldi

Wakefield have signed former Catalans and Harlequins half-back or hooker Julien Rinaldi on a month long loan deal.

Rinaldi, 31, has been playing for the Villeneuve Leopards in the Elite One Championship in France, but has moved to the Wildcats on a short term deal following the conclusion of the French season.

Equally comfortable at 7 or 9, Rinaldi was part of the inaugural Catalans side that entered Super League in 2006, before moving on to Harlequins for the 2007 season.

He also spent some time on loan at Bradford in 2009 before signing for Villeneuve.

The French international goes straight in to John Kear’s squad to face his former club Catalans at the weekend.
