Wakefield Wildcats have confirmed that Chris Riley will be a part of their squad in 2015.

The 26-year-old winger has been on loan with Trinity from Warrington this season, making 22 Super League appearances and scoring seven tries.

The Warrington-born winger has signed a one-year deal with the Wildcats.

“I’ve enjoyed the second half of the season and the success. It’s always nice when you’re winning but I think it’s a club that’s starting to move forward now and I’m seeing things happening on and off the field which are exciting,” said the player.

“We’ve recruited well for next year which is getting me excited and I think if we can build on the second half of this season and take it into next season I think we can have a successful year as a team.

“We’re a club that is starting to build. We’re not going to throw out any false promises that we’re going to do this and that next year.

“We want to continue what we’ve done so far and I think the fans have been pretty happy with the second half of the season. If we can build on that it will be fantastic.”

Trinity coach James Webster is delighted that Riley will be a part of his plans in 2015.

“He’s played in some massive games over a long period at Warrington and will bring us a bit of experience,” said Webster.

“I think everyone can see from the performances that he’s put out this year that he’s going to be an asset to our club.

“I’ve always been impressed with his attitude and he’s backed that up with some really good performances. He’s played excellently this year and he just adds so much to our squad.”
