Wakefield sign Kyle Amor

Wakefield have wasted no time in making Kyle Amor a permanent member of the Wildcat’s squad after the prop impressed on loan from Leeds this term.

The deal the Wildcats have offered Amor is unique in rugby league as although it is a three-year deal, because Kyle still has a year left of his Leeds contact, the Rhinos have the option to re-sign the prop half way through the deal.

Amor has turned out 24 times for Wakefield this season in a loan spell that impressed both club and fans alike as he picked up the club’s “Members Player of the Year” accolade.

Commenting on the deal, Wildcat’s Chairman Andrew Glover said “Keeping Kyle is fantastic news for everyone at the Club. He has proved to be a certain fans favourite and his on field performances have continued to impress the coaching staff and his fellow team mates.

“Kyle’s work rate and determined attitude fit in perfectly with the Wildcats side and I can’t wait to see him in action for us once again.”

Amor stated “I am really looking forward to another season with The Wildcats. My future is now secure and I can concentrate on playing well all season for Wakefield.

“I’ve loved being at Wakefield this year and can’t wait to get started with the new coach and the new players.”

Amor signed for Leeds from Whitehaven in 2009 after picking up the Championship Young Player of the Year award.
