Wakefield are on the look out for a new first team assistant coach, after the exit of John Kear to Bradford.
A job vacancy posted on the club’s official website lists Friday December 22 as the closing date for applications, with head coach Chris Chester looking to add to his backroom staff.
Kear, who held the title of Head of Rugby, assisted Chester in 2017 but has taken the top job at Odsal.
The job advertisement reads: “We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our dynamic and experienced coaching staff, within this historic Super League club. This challenging role as Assistant Coach will see you working alongside the Head Coach and Coaching Staff to train the First Team Squad.
“The right candidate will be committed to the further development of the club, be dynamic in their approach and flexible.”
Wakefield have finished in the Super 8s for the past two seasons, both under the stewardship of Chester.
