Friday’s Super League clash between Wakefield Trinity and Huddersfield Giants has been rearranged for Sunday.

The game was meant to be played on Friday night at The Mobile Rocket Stadium but due to the poor weather conditions, they are now looking to play it on Sunday, 3pm kick-off.

Wakefield released a statement, it read: “Despite our best endeavours, last night’s snow has forced us to postpone the game, taking into account spectator and player welfare.

“We will look to play the game on Sunday at 3pm.

“This will still involve making some areas safe and clear of snow, and we would ask any volunteers who would like to help to join us at the ground at 10am on Saturday armed with their snow shovels.

“This decision is a sensible one for all concerned, where safety must be the first priority.”
