Wakefield handed suspended fine

Wakefield have been handed a suspended £1,000 fine following crowd trouble during their Good Friday defeat to Castleford.

The Wildcats had been subject to an RFL investigation, focusing on incidents involving supporters of both clubs both inside and outside the stadium and the way in which they were managed.

Following the outcome of an independent tribunal, they were deemed to be in breach of the RFL Operation Rules in the way it handled crowd disturbances.

The club won’t be appealing the fine, which is suspended until the end of 2013.
