Wakefield have submitted a planning application for the next phase of the redevelopment of Belle Vue.
The next phase will include the construction of a 2,500-seater East Stand and the development will also provide first class amenities for the community of Wakefield and for activities delivered through the club’s foundation.
Wakefield chairman John Minards said: βThe lodging of this planning application is an important milestone in our journey to redevelop Belle Vue.
“The structure of the existing East Stand dates from 1924 and the new stand will provide first-class 21st century facilities for our spectators which are well overdue.
“Most importantly however, this phase of our redevelopment plans will provide multi-functional community facilities including conferencing and banqueting space and a cafΓ©.
“The 4G pitch will also be available for community use as well as providing an all year-round venue for our first and youth teams.β

Thought they were getting a new stadium. Is this the same new stadium that Castleford are getting. Perhaps neither are.
How about they SHARE a new stadium, like they do in Australia.
Too radical and too simple for UK RLπ
Wakey & cas have been getting a new stadium since SL started, think they are getting a little scared that the criteria for the 12th team may be brought in for the rest of SL.
Yeh those TOUGH standards of 2000 attendances.ππ€―π€ͺπππ
