Vinnie Anderson facing eight match ban

Former St Helens, Warrington and Salford back-rower Vinnie Anderson is facing an eight match ban for punching and his behaviour in Carcassonne‘s Challenge Cup defeat to Workington last weekend.

Anderson, 34, has been charged with a Grade F offence, which carries a suspension tariff of at least eight matches.

Workington’s James Robinson is also set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, having been charged with a Grade D offence of punching and conduct contrary to the spirit of the game in the same incident.

He could be out for between four and eight matches, while Carcassonne‘s Tyrone Pay has been charged with a Grade B punching offence.

Elsewhere, London Skolars‘ Michael Hill has been charged with a Grade B tripping offence during their Championship 1 game at Rochdale earlier this month.
