Salford have confirmed that Daniel Vidot has joined them for the 2016 season from Brisbane Broncos.

The 25-year-old threequarter has signed a two-year contract at the AJ Bell Stadium.

“We are delighted to have added both Justin Carney and now Daniel to our back line for next season in the last week and we are starting to look particularly strong in key areas,” said Salford coach Ian Watson.

“Daniel will bring top class experience to us. He is used to a winning environment and his enthusiasm and keenness to get over with his new team have been great to see.”

Vidot is looking forward to lining up alongside the club’s other high-profile recruits.

“A lot of talent has been recently recruited by the Club which I think will give Salford the edge. Finals footy for me is the goal for 2016 and I personally think that the Red Devils will be next season’s dark horses,” he said.

“I’m very excited to come to Super League and the UK. I’ve been to England a couple of times now and I love the atmosphere and culture displayed by the English locals and fans of rugby league.”
