Daniel Vidot has already expressed his excitement at the prospect of making his debut for Salford Red Devils this weekend against Castleford Tigers in the Challenge Cup

The 26 year-old joined the Red Devils from Brisbane Broncos for the start of the 2016 season, but has been ruled out since pre-season due to injury.

However, Vidot is in line to play this weekend in the Challenge Cup, and Vidot has said he cannot wait to get out on the field with the rest of the team.

“It’s an awesome feeling, I can’t wait to get back out there with the boys,” Vidot told the club’s official website.

“It’s been a long wait for me on the sidelines so I’ll finally get my chance this weekend and can’t wait to pull on the jersey and rip it in for the boys.”

Vidot did however admit it was difficult seeing the rest of the team playing every week, but is glad the hard days are finally behind him.

“There were times when I just wished I was there with the boys and celebrating and going through all the hardship with them,” he saud.

“But I’ve done all the hard yards now and get my chance to pull on the jersey. I want go out there and do all the boys proud, as well as the fans too.”

Vidot was quick to make comment about the fans, who have been asking him on social media and in person regarding his return to first team action, and Vidot is excited to finally show them what he has to offer.

“It shows me that they’re keen to see me play,” he said.

“I cant wait to show them what I’ve got to offer and to also help the boys out there. I can’t wait to run the ball back 100mph, its what I do best and cant wait to get out there.

“I went to the game at Cas earlier in the year and it was a really good atmosphere. The fans over here get really stuck into it and I love that feeling where you feel like you’re playing back at home. Its getting nice and sunny now which is something I’ll adapt to very comfortably and I can’t wait to get out there with the boys.”
