VIDEO: Powell pleased with crucial result

Castleford coach Daryl Powell says the Tigers 38-24 win over Catalans releases a bit of pressure off his team.

Castleford defeated the Dragons yesterday at the Jungle to cement their place in the top eight.

“It’s an important win for us. It was a crucial game,” Powell said.

“We were a little bit scratchy at times. But overall, we’ve got to be happy we were able to get the two points.”

Tigers forward Nathan Massey injured his wrist against Catalans and could be out for some time.

Powell said Castleford won’t be giving up on reaching the top four now.
