Catalans scrum-half Scott Dureau is uncertain whether to be delighted or disappointed, after his team’s Magic Weekend draw with Huddersfield.
A dour encounter lit up in the second half, when the Dragons fought back from a 16-point deficit to go into the lead, before the game ended 22-all.
“I’m not sure, to be honest. It was one point gained after the first half, and one point lost after the last five minutes,” said Dureau.
“I’m disappointed myself to have missed that kick at the end there.
“Even though I took a little whack, it was close.
“It was a great game for the crowd and we’ll take a point.”
Dureau was also uncertain as to whether or not his team should have been awarded a penalty try, when he was tackled high by Huddersfield winger Jermaine McGillvary.
Todd Carney touched the ball down and was awarded a try, but many observers felt that the referee should have handed out a card, and possibly an additional penalty, for the tackle.
“I wasn’t sure, to be honest,” Dureau added.
“I got whacked on the head, and I wasn’t sure what actually happened until I looked at the big screen.
“The ref’s made that call.
“I’ll go with their decision.”
