Vella ban reversed

Hull KR skipper Michael Vella has successfully appealed against a one-match ban, freeing him up for for Rovers’ visit to Bradford on Sunday.nnThe suspension would have ended Vella’s ever-present record in Super League XIII, but the prop, 30, has now been cleared to continue that impressive run, and will line up at Odsal on Sunday.nnVella was found guilty of using the forearm in Saturday’s 26-18 home defeat to Wakefield, after appearing in front of the RFL’s disciplinary panel yesterday.nnHowever, the Craven Park club believed they had a valid reason to appeal the verdict, and got their wish when the ban was lifted.nnThe appeals panel maintained the verdict as guilty, but ruled there should be no further action and no ban was necessary.
