Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei could be in line for a move to Super League, according to a report in Australia.

The Kiwi legend has not been playing for the Warriors since the controversy surrounding players mixing painkillers with energy drinks broke.

Vatuvei has reportedly taken much of the burden of blame for that incident on his shoulders, becuase of his esnior status with the Warriors squad.

But it is now being reported by Fairfax Media that the giant winger and the Warriors are set to part ways.

This is, at least in part, because the club needs to create space on its salary cap for new recruits next year.

According to the report, Vatuvei’s representatives are touting him to Japanese rugby union, as well as Super League clubs.

The report states that St Helens are in the hunt for the player.
