Leeds Rhinos have re-signed Luke Briscoe to help the club through their current injury crisis.

Briscoe made three appearances for the Rhinos in 2014, as well as a loan spell with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats before making the move to Hunslet Hawks

A knee injury ended his time with the Hawks and Gary Hetherington has said that given the injuries in the squad, this signing may easy some of the workload on the rest of the squad.

“We have looked after all Luke’s surgery, recovery and re-hab, to such an extent he is now able to play,” Hetherington told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“We have found ourselves in this position and he fits the bills, so he has got an opportunity. It is opportune for both parties and we have signed him until the end of the year.”
