USA have named a 24-man squad for the World Cup, which includes Salford utility Ryan McGoldrick and former Hull KR back-rower Clint Newton.

Ten of the squad were born in America, while nine have played in the country’s domestic competition.

Notable names from the NRL include captain Joseph Paulo and brother Junior, of Parramatta Eels, and ex-Wakefield wing Matt Petersen.

USA face Cook Islands in Bristol on October 30, before games against Wales in Wrexham (November 3) and Scotland at Salford (November 7).
