Wigan coach Shaun Wane believes that his team are the underdogs heading into Friday night’s derby clash with St Helens.
The Warriors chief is relishing the occasion, which is to him a special game he likes to treat as different to any other.
“It’s something special, one we all look at when the fixtures are announced,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.
“They’re the form team over the last couple of years, so we’ll go into the game the underdog.
“My players respond to pressure and they know what it means to a lot of Wigan people, and it means the same to people in St Helens.
“In the past when I have been here coaches here have been trying to play it down, I want to play it up as it is a different game”
