Ukrainian Rugby League picked up their first ever silverware when they duly collected the European Bowl.

Having defeated holders Latvia on Friday night, the Ukrainians thrashed Estonia – also in Riga – on Sunday, triumphing 86-0.

They ran in 14 tries against the outgunned Estonians for whom hooker Aleks Janov was a stand out in defeat.

Second rower Michail Troyan was again in fine form after his impressive performance against the hosts.

He finished with a hat trick, scoring the opening try after 36 seconds, as did winger Zakir Prisnyakov, Sergey Romanko kicking 11 goals.

Prop Vladimir Lobanj was near unstoppable throughout as the Ukrainians played exhibition rugby at times.
