Uaisele willing to play centre at Bradford

Etu Uaisele is ready to roll his sleeves up and play in the centres, if that is what Bradford coach James Lowes wants him to do in 2016.

The Tongan threequarter signed for Bradford a year ago, inking a two-year contract, after joining from Featherstone Rovers.

After scoring nine tries in 16 games, he went to Dewsbury on loan, with Omari Caro and James Clare pushing him down the pecking order on the Bulls wings.

But the flanker is ready to move inside, if it helps the team’s cause.

“I support whatever Jimmy [Lowes] does,” he told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.

“I’ve spoken to him about next season and he has just told me to get my body right.

“If I do that then I think everything will fall into place. I really want to fight for my spot at Bradford – but not just on the wing.

“As I’ve said before, I can play centre and I did that at Dewsbury. I really enjoyed it because it allows me to get more involved in the game.

“I think I play my best rugby there and it will be tough, but I’ll be doing my best to get a spot here at Bradford.”
