UAE RL boss arrested in bitter code battle

RUGBY league players in the United Arab Emirates have been told the league president Sol Mokdad has been arrested as part of a rugby union campaign to have the 13-man game shut down.

Sources say the official charges are fraud – pretending to be rugby union and accepting sponsorship from Nissan under false pretenses. The charges have been brought by UAE Rugby.
